Limiting work hours to 40-50 per week is not the solution, in my opinion. It is upto you to push back against the expectation of enhanced working hours. If that pushback is ignored, look for other opportunities where you might be more comfortable. Tying back to the first part, you need to decide if earning X lpa id worth the toll on you (physical, mental, emotional social, familial, financial). This level of maturity is expected from adults. Sadly, not many of this know how to do this. That's why a practical education is necessary in this regard.
