freelancing on resume

Hey guys, my first post on here. I have been unemployed since a year due to some personal problems, but right now interviewing. On my resume is it advisable to add my freelance work which I’ve done in the past year instead of the gap ? It was on and off freelancing for a friends company. I wanted inputs on, if this is okay and also, how would a background check be done regarding this? Is contact with the client good enough for background verification. Thank you

I do freelancing/contract work while working full time in a company. Is it good idea to mention those works in LinkedIn profile, specially considering it may bring more freelance work if anyone sees it or not?

I have been searching for job for almost 4 months now, due to layoff. The job market is pretty tough these days so I thought of trying out freelancer path. Even after having a really solid resume and work experience, it’s difficult to get freelancing jobs. I am exploring upwork and freelancer platform but it’s of no use till now. Do you have any such freelance platform recommendations (which works) or someone you can connect me to ?

Especially under what heading, so that it doesn't offend recruiters or makes us look like moonlighting

Guys, I graduated in 2020. Started software engg job in 2021 April. Due to covid the joining date got delayed. I needed money so I started a informal company/ vendor and I built a team of 5-10 people and used to provide educational material to unacademy like mcq and subjective question papers of 6-12 th class. I got fired from apna last month. Should I include this experience in my updated resume? 2020-2021 : above mentioned work 2021-2022: Service based company 2022-2023 sept: apna Question: 1. This work experience is not related to soft engg at all. So how does engg managers/hiring managers/recruiters see this thing? 2. I am thinking this experience can show I tried something different and had an experience of managing people little bit. I am afraid on how hr/ senior software enggs would react to that in screening call. Please guide. Looking for ans from senior devs/hrs/ Ems.

Have any of you taken a career break and got back to work? Did you see any loss? Discrimination? Difficulty? Is it right decision to take a career break? I have no problem with savings I have it plenty. Am just worried about losing everything if there is a gap in my work timeline and if that will impact me from being hired again from say top firms or wherever? Please help.

Hello everyone. We, a group of three friends, worked on a startup idea for hyperlocal e commerce. We worked on that idea for about a year, held several brainstorming sessions, met with various stakeholders, learned a lot about the startup system, and improved our idea based on feedback, but we dropped it after a market study and moved on. We never registered our startup but contacted startup incubators and received guidance several times; now, how can I share it on LinkedIn and in the resume experience section? Can I include a co-founder title or describe it as a project?

I want to take up another job with the current one. How do I do it? Shall I just start applying to other companies? How will I provide relieving letter?
