What kind of friends do y'all have and how do they add to your life? What does one do if they have "friends" who act secretive when you ask them what they're upto (be it career or studies).

Secretive friends are generally the ones competitive and ambitious and feel that they still havent achieved what they wanted by this time frame and are worried ki dusre ki nazar lag jayegi. Also it could be that they feel you might be competition or might harm their chance of success or ridicule or judge their stage in the career or studies.

You decide your benchmark. Ppl have friends who are purely for hanging out. People have friends solely to borrow stuff. People have friends whose sole purpose is networking. You do you - whatever you are comfortable with
