From Devops to development

I have about 1.5 years of experience in devops/platform engineer related work. I mostly work with Kubernetes, docker and monitoring tools. But I am thinking to switch to development. I feel it’s not a good decision as I don’t have any relevant experience and the job market too. Do you think it would be possible for me ??because the pay is good and I think if I switch I will have to start from a freshers salary. Also what would be better java backend or MERN stack considering the fact that I will only be able to build projects and not real experience.

Go with Java Backend you don't regret latter.

Do you feel that java backend will be a good choice as there are very less resources and also being able to replicate real work ex will be difficult in that just through projects?
