Full body check up

Recently I came to know my org is providing a full body health check up. Mostly done before when prescribed by the doctor.

I was looking at some test packages and they are really confusing. Has anyone else done it before? And what are the tests to look for in the package. Also thought of consulting doctor before proceeding.

list of parameters differ. Full body packages come at various cost to confuse consumers. Price range differs from city to city. Complete blood count report had blood tests like heamoglobin etc - ₹500-700 If it has LFT/KFT (liver and kidney profiles) - 1200-1400₹. HaB1c + vitamin B + above + rheumatoid + thyroid + urine tests= ₹1800-2500. If the price is between ₹3200-4000, generally everything is covered above + vitamin D tests. Next the top one's come with the Heart profiles and different lab companies give parameters ranging from 67-80 tests/parameters.

So the main differentiater are vitamin B and Vitamin D tests which are the costliest of the lot. (₹1200-1800) depending on the city and the lab prices. If you are young you should get the one's ranging from ₹2000-3500 which has vitamin D + vitamin B. For females, thyroid become necessary if they are planning for pregnency or arr pregnent. For someone who is a non veg, vit B12 are generally taken care off and can opt for a 1800₹ tests.

Docs recommend only those tests which are required based on your symptoms and dont prefer getting extra tests done as this is the way labs are earning money by giving these options to people at home. My rule is to get the full body ₹3500-5000 tests from 1mg due to to discount which my wife gets as a corporate employee by the company at ₹2000 once a year to check how my body is functioning and if there are some parameters like vitamin D and B12 as a vegitarian i need to take care of.
