Funding for my startup

Hey guys,

I am currently struggling with my startup and it’s product launch. Having talked to most of the VCs and getting ghosted, what should I do?

I have built the product and it’s ready to be launched, have a small team but I am a solo founder.

Applied to YC and even got referral from 2-3 YC founders, still no interview. Looking for $500k.

Let me know if anyone knows anyone ❤️

Ready to be launch? Launch it then! Be frugal with expenses and start getting initial feedback. Use any cohort of early adopters like PH or HN.

VCs, in these times, are very iffy on funding pre seed rounds. Even YC is funding companies who have launched and have some revenue.

All the best in your journey! Don't give up

I'm a YC solo founder. It's not impossible to get in but it took me 3 attempts. I think what worked is I kept on moving/building in the meanwhile, somehow or other. So every application had some progress. Is there any way you can just launch a MVP and focus on traction or do you have to have 500k to start with?

I need the 500k to start with. If you are in YC as a solo guy can we talk here, would really help ❤️

YC and most VCs tend to avoid solo founders.

You are a pre-launch, solo founder with no revenue or traction in your favour. It would be hard to raise at favourable terms in this market (not impossible).

Get some initial traction. Optionally, get a cofounder who can add immense value.

Solo founder will be a big red flag for many investors. If you are launching then if it is profitable then go for it. Otherwise look for a potential team and co-founder. Initial funding majorly is done on the team. Traction and all are just small validation points to signal " ok you can do it". Team , Industry & Idea are key themes for investors. Also in India connections play a major role. Reference game has to be strong.

This is the hard part where an investor doesn't see the potential and just worries about MVP, traction, shitttt.... have gone through these myself. Keep grinding.

How to raise angel funding for my startup?

Currently I’m in the stage of building the MVP of my idea. Idea is not something unique. Already has a lot of competitors. In that scenario what is the chance of somebody investing in my startup. And I am also not from any tier 1 college...

Tired of applying everywhere for funding.

Acquiring funding for a startup in india has become a hassle. I myself have been doing research on seed funding Vc's and angel investors. All they ask is pitch deck and LinkedIn profile. Which they don't even go through and just reply wi...
