I got promoted 3 days back with a decent hike at a remote job. Also got an offer with 2x hike where I need to move to a new city where have to work from office. Is it worth switching?
If 2x is not worth then I don't know what would be.
Also, moving to a new city and living there is a very underrated life skill. Even if it's a city you detest, given that you're getting 2x hike. It could really help with your soft skills, because I'm sure you'll get to apply and learn new technical skills in this role. Maybe consider that. Make yourself uncomfortable, it's one of the best paths to self growth
Real question- flexibility vs money. At different life stages the priority could be very different. Decide basis what’s important for you right now :)
