Should I switch again?

I am SDE and I joined a company 2.5 months back. I don't like the work that I am doing and the company is far from being profitable+ a huge cash burn + management is not good. I interviewed with some other company and they have offered me a role. On paper it's an upgraded role but they are offering the exact salary as the current one + some esops.

Would you accept the offer if you were in my place?

Some general info:

  1. Hate the work I am doing currently, the knowledge I get here can't be used in other companies.
  2. Work is slow, not learning anything new
  3. New company seems good from outside till now, have to validate with ex-employees
  4. New company has Hybrid work, current is WFO
  5. Have another offer which is paying a bit more than the 'new company' but don't want to join it, These guys are not matching the offer sadly

Well it seems like the choice is clear. You must still be on probation so go ahead and join the new one. Don’t need to show the current one in your CV. Companies don’t think twice about laying you off 🙏🏻

One more question, the new hr is asking for a date of joining. How do you even ask the current company about how early you can relieve the notice period? Should I tell the HR a 15 day placeholder date and then have the offer letter with me and then ask current company about relieving date?

Because in current companies offer letter, notice period in probation is not mentioned anywhere

The new company is not even matching other offer I have. Any tips for negotiation? I tried yesterday but they are very adamant. My interviews went really really well. Maybe tell how can I ask for increase in esops if not in base

Stay in the same one. Take the hike. Then apply again for others one in 2 months. There is no loyalty game here.
