I take a pay cut every year due to inflation. Involuntarily, of course.

It was a voluntary call to join an old colleague in stating up. Reached 12 LPA after 1 year and currently 18LPA after 2 years. Current fair market compensation ~ 30L - 35L but money is not a motivating factor.

Was in a job paying 18LPA(1.1 monthly inhand) last year. Now joined a PSU, getting in hand of 70k+ quarter. Next year it'll be 1.1L inhand post, the probation period

The quality of work is way better now, and WLB is the best. There were days in my previous job wherein I came to my home post 9/10 from the office and just slept skipping dinner. Now, I get time to play Badminton for 1-2 hours and then eat n sleep post office hours

Did you have to write an exam? Or some interview just like other corporates?

MagicalBurrito

What exam did you write bro? Is a bachelor's from CSE necessary to get a job in PSU?

Shit happens! No regrets though. Couple of well timed switches and I am currently at a much better place compared to if I had stayed in US.

Just the once, and it was for a raidical industry / work profile change.

I did balance it out with a joining bonus that ensured my first year net was higher than the previous year.

Didn't last in the role beyond the year and didn't miss out $ wise that year.

Never again!
