Mental Health
In these uncertain times w.r.t jobs, personal expectations, physical health and also especially for gen z, I see lot of friction from parents as well as view of world is mostly different. How do you guys manage mental health.
As a millenial who was diagnosed with clinical depression and on medication and treatment for 3+ years - it'll be okay. You'll be okay.
But you'll have to stop externalising all the factors. At the core of it -
"One day, I realized with all these people I was jealous of, I couldn’t just choose little aspects of their life. I couldn’t say I want his body, I want her money, I want his personality. You have to be that person. Do you want to actually be that person with all of their reactions, their desires, their family, their happiness level, their outlook on life, their self-image? If you’re not willing to do a wholesale, 24/7, 100 percent swap with who that person is, then there is no point in being jealous."
I've not found a single person I want to do a wholehearted life swap with, so yeah. I have 0 FOMO and jealousy in my life now.
All in all, you've got this kiddos. It seems like the end of the world but it's not and you'll make it 💪🏽
Depression is the new buzz in genZ. Looks like it's a FOMO that how come i am not in depression. The truth is , most of them are not in depression, they are just seeking attention and feeling lonely.
Get a hobby, make some friends, play sports and you will not even have time to think about depression.
Social media has just made it look cool to be in depression...
What about people with shitty childhood, trauma, sexual abuse history and people who lack social support? Let's say if a person has to endure these for years and has affected their neurological system and have almost non existent social support, would you think they'd deserve some slack or no?
where is the downvote button when you need them?
There's nothing like depression, it's business for docs u r the trapped mouse
Please don't speak without understanding the illness. It is a shame, you still have this thought in today's times.
If I say, there is no cancer, will you agree? Your statement is similar. Just because you can't see it or haven't experienced it, doesnt mean that it doesn't exist. And statements like yours are a making it even more difficult for the needy to get required help.
@FlbEmperor nah man
It's very very real.
I had pure clinical depression - onset due to fucked up gut, and horribly off average micro nutrients.
I didn't have any personal tragedy or any down in life that set this up.
In fact I was at the fucking peak of my life mentally - surrounded by great friends having a gala time doing great professionally.
That's why I specified that I had "clinical" depression.
It's a very real and vapid disease, and I hope no one close to you ever gets it, but if they do you must support them in the same spirit you would have supported someone who'd met a car accident or was diagnosed with cancer.
I was laughing at people who said they had depression untill I went into depression and it's so real. Suddenly I felt everything has turned upside down. It's a real disease

Is it just me or you'll think that our millennial's adult life is hard compared with all these generations.
I got into a startup (informal) and invested my savings and also took loan from friends and family.
It would take a couple of years to clear up but I am happy thwt I didn't let go.of the opportunity and the learnings also realised the...
