Help me choose a city to settle

Which is your favourite city in India and why? Collecting inputs to decide where to try and spend the next 10 years of my life. The cost of living will not be the deciding factor, but the quality of life will be! 🙂

(Ps. focusing on tier 1 cities only)

My details:

  • Female, 30, Single
  • I like to party one weekend a month
  • and spend the rest of the weekends sleeping, binge watching OTT, painting and cleaning my home
  • can learn different languages quickly (at least the basics)
  • I like peace and serenity as much as I like the city lights and hustle. Need them both 🤓

The fact that no one recommended Bangalore is quite interesting

It's obvious lol. No one really likes Bangalore, they just put up with it because economic hub.

Very generic question. To understand the positive and negative of a city one needs to exp full year, all seasons. blr is good in winter, ok in summer. Mumbai is bad all the time. Chennai is good in winter worst in summer. Good /bad also depends on the area you live. looking for peace and serenity in a city is like searching the Saraswati river.

I think you misunderstood the whole text as a question. Whereas the question is only the first line - Which is your favourite city and why.

All the other text in my post is reference material to give context for the question.

The analysis and conclusion (in reference to the context) is up to me, after sufficient data collection. 😅

So tell me, @Qwerty2398, which is your favourite city and why.

Pune seems to fit the bill. Surrounded by mountains, decent startup, MNC, and IT culture. Less traffic compared to to other metros. Fairly okay air quality. No dearth of water. Plenty places to visit on weekends.
