That actually happened a company that was paying 16lpa base denied the 5 smart candidates telling they were overqualified, I'm like wtf you mean? Instead they took people who just mugged up a few leetcode

I gave an interview with 2+ years of exp and they hired an intern over me, should I feel I made a mistake in the interview??

No! The interviewer was damn happy : founder definitely ditched me for cheap candidates (bcs skills can be learned, now companies no where req best candidate currently)

I can correlate this situation, Taking interview & rejecting talented male candidates
If you have female requirements clearly mention it ,atleast male candidates can focus on other companies
Its literally frustrating & biggest bull shit is saying we don't discriminate on gender ,its just name sake I know many won't bother but atleast there are few gems who can understand.
