Does diversity hiring even happens at experienced level

Hi reddit community I have something to ask. During time of placement lot of companies preferred girls and some only came for girls. The reason hr gave was to maintain a healthy ration in company and its easier to do it at entry level .

Now, as people gain experience things such as college tag cgpa and other thing do not value while switching . Your algorithmic skills and developmental skills matters.

For experienced people also does diversity hiring happen as it is the case for freshers. Do company prefer girls? If possible can someone share their experience?

While talking to one of the senior didi she told that diversity hiring and all these things happen at entry level only, there are many programs that only recruit girls for entry level but for experienced people only skills matters

Your senior didi is wrong. Things are changing. Atleast in my company. Be it interns or associate or senior roles, diversity is being considered.

This doesn't mean skills don't matter.

Yes, diversity is considered even for mid senior level (10-16 YoE). I am not very sure about the higher management level though.

Companies even have lower cutoffs for female candidates in technical tests. There are even posts on LinkedIn where they clearly state female candidates only/ preferred.
