40l <50l at 9.5years of experience, Product role, esops separate
What is the pay ceiling you’d think in product at your company? I mean say the VP of product where you might eventually get to will bring in how much?
I lead the product team here, and report to the founder directly, hence not sure how much they’d pay for a senior role, something like a VP. I DO know that the amount they are paying me is much more than they had to, they have given me tremendous hikes in the last 2-3 years since I joined. That is partially also because I was incredibly underpaid in my previous job, I still think the pay is not at par with what I can command in the market, but I get a lot of freedom here, have a good work life balance, and a lot of influence in the org in general, and I also see an upside with the esops that if I stick around for 2-3 more years, I think it would make sense financially. Time will tell
I see a lot of people think here that a 3-5 year experience candidate has a right to demand 40-50 lakhs pay.

Met a PM from IIT / IIM with 4 years of experience. He is working at a well know soonicorn at a salary of 17 lakhs per year . He used to draw 30 lakhs per year in his last role before we was laid off . Interesting Times ahead

While we see a 10 yoe person is getting easily 30L now compared to a dream 10L back then in 2014;Why do we see people complaining about zero or minimal hike this year?Is the goal to say a 10 yoe person should get 50L?Dollar vs INR reason...
For e.g. 4 yoe making 30 is 7.5 LPA.
