Salary Discussion
I see a lot of people think here that a 3-5 year experience candidate has a right to demand 40-50 lakhs pay.
Is it really the trend now? Am I unaware? I see pay range in 6figr & other websites but don't see the pay scale of 40-50 very often except for full funded startups, MBBs.
What is the reality of pay range by professions for exp 3-5 years?
On GV, u have top 1% of top 1% of crowd. Means 0.01% Elite. They are good at what they do and hence getting yoe x 10 also.
But on an avg it's yoe x 2 or 3 in most of cases.
Ok Mr founder. Did you pull this statistics out of your ass after eating spicy Burrito or Momos?
Stop gatekeeping, especially when you're on the wrong side of the gate.
50 LPA is pretty reasonable for a 5 yoe candidate. How much lower do you expect?
50 lpa may be reasonable but not for every profession out there. I hear ceos, cxos packages within 1-2 crores, how do middle managers earning 50-60 lakhs?
Top cxo range is not 1-2 cr. It's more like 8-20 cr.
Here's the metric
If you say you want that pay grade to your colleagues/manager and they don't disagree or hesitate, you are worth it
Cos there are two cases:
You are worth it and you don't know it
You aren't worth it and you don't know it
Only way to find out is to go around, claim what you want and see how the 'market' reacts
Perfect
It was supply vs demand, which seems to be getting settled now. I have seen people joining new places at lesser than current pay this is gonna become normal
