How Deloitte USI almost ruined my life ☣️

I quit Deloitte after 4 years of excruciating pain. Here's why?

The concept of bench will literally kill your confidence the most. If you know how to beg then you will succeed here because if you don't beg for projects then they will definitely lay you off.

I was always a bright student in college and chose Deloitte because of the brand name but if I had known that once I was hired, I would still have to find jobs every day, I would have never joined this hell. This is utterly ridiculous.

I have now joined an early stage startup which has been the best decision of my life. Deloitte is literally the worst company ever. There were a couple of seniors who used to say the most hurtful shit to me whenever I used to go to the washroom.

These Indian seniors always harass freshers while the American teams are usually much nicer and respectful. Don't throw your youth away in the name of earning a few bucks.

Big MNCs are all the same. They pay you cheap stakes and earn heavy and once the demand goes down they cut you out through all sorts of politics and techniques. In addition the HR team as usual stays useless in the whole process.

Could not agree more. Good thing is automation and AI will eliminate them sooner.

I hope you feel better. Where are you working now and what makes you feel happier there

Hey , I am on the bench as well and I completely resonate that there is rampant favouritism when choosing people for projects. But I always think there are many fishes in the sea . So you don't have to blame yourself if the leadership is not able to get enough projects and the resource managers are forcefully aligning you to crappy projects. It is the firm's fault. Good riddance that you just had to spend 4 years of your career here. An average person might end up working for 30-35 years so these 4 years will just be a small chapter of your life story.
I hope you have a great time in your new organisation.
Even fortune 500 has 500 companies, so don't worry, be happy 😊
