WLB is not good in most teams - lots of pressure and strict adherence to deadlines which are set in weeks or sometime even in days.
There’s a lot of micromanagement - the CEO Bansal has himself set forth a culture of micromanagement and strict tracking across the org where what you do on a daily basis is tracked rigorously; and questions are asked if you’re unable to achieve what you had planned for the day. Most people don’t last more than 1-2 years due to this.
Other than that there are growing pains which are common with lots of fast growing startup’s which do bring in good learning.
Overall I’d say you can join & work for 1-2 years if you are relatively young without kids/responsibilities. Navi pays well, really well - make sure to get good money. If you have other high paying offers or if you are older with kids, want to prioritise good personal life then Navi is not for you
Just to add - the orgs/teams where Bansal does not understand the work fully, like for eg tech infra or platform etc. - those teams are relatively enjoyable to work for. He doesn’t seem to push/micromanage much over there since he has 0 clue about AWS Kafka kubernetes etc.
Navi insisted their employees to come and work from office when Covid was at its peak even when Govt said not to do it. Basically treated employees like slaves and known for WLB which is worse than Ola
