Why is Google hiring extensively?
I know 5 people who got reached out by Google recruiters and are currently in the process. Why sudden spike in hiring at Google just after layoff?
A woman from my company, SDE 1, laid off after going through PIP, secured a job at Google. On the contrary, one of my friends who recently interviewed with Google got grilled with leet code hard questions. Can anyone shed some light on the level of difficulty of the Google diversity hiring interviews.
BTW, this is in India.
I have a very hard working female friend who had been rejected twice from Google and all the rounds were having medium-high and hard questions. I don't think the process is lenient.
One cannot tell the full story of a person. Just because someone was in pip doesn't define their talent. Maybe she was facing some personal issue or she was prepping for a job switch that's why got into pip or maybe she started working hard after facing the pip and layoff.
Please share woman's interview experience at Google. We'll be able to judge difficulty of diversity hiring better
