ALWAYS! Nobody really cares if you're the best at your trade - For eg., Coding, PM, ops, etc. People will always remember how you made them feel. Be kind, gentle, and always smile. Especially in mega corps, people will remember you for the most subtlest thing, like holding the door open for someone and they will rave about how nice you are for years (true story).
Being the badass will only get you so far in corporate. Almost everyone wants to do the least work possible and get paid and move on with their lives. Nobody likes a trouble maker in the office.
