How to grow at the workplace without indulging in politics?

Seeking advice on how to grow at work, without having to butter up too many people. I have been struggling with this, because I feel too many people around are managing their managers, and using it as way to grow. My reviews and feedbacks have consistently been good, but I feel that for the output I provide, I am not growing as much, because of favouritism.

Advice needed.

A plant cannot grow without water and sunlight. Same way one cannot grow at workplace without indulging in politics. You may not be intrested, but your colleagues will stab you if you don't.

They only way you can grow with limited indulgence in politics is when you own major share in the company.

My 2 cents. If you already start to feel your colleagues are growing unnaturally then there is no point for you to exist in such a system. Better move to a new desired role before your current skills become stagnant. It's better to move to a new place with a hike and start building new relationships.

As you said your reviews and feedback are good then why are you worrying about it. By the way there is no need to impress or butter up your seniors, Just be yourself do your work and move forward.
