IIM Bodhgaya - worth it to join?

Hi all, I got an admission call from IIM Bodhgaya. I would like to try again next year for better IIMs but my family is scared to lose this chance to join an IIM. Since Bodhgaya is one of the newest IIMs, is it worth it to join or better to try again next year?

Hey would you consider XLRI Delhi as tier 1? I know the placements are common with JSR and the stats are good but still I'm a little skeptical.

Share more about your profile in generic terms, current acads, work experience, future domain interests. Also how confident are you on covering the cat score gap required for your dream college next year.

Currently in product marketing, UG in B.Com from a city college, CTC 9 LPA, 2 years of experience.

Honestly I was preparing for UPSC and failed 3 attempts. Decided to write CAT by chance (without preparation) this year and prepare properly for CAT next year. But somehow I got a good percentile and got 3 interview calls (Bodhgaya, Jammu, Sambalpur). Now it seems I’ve cleared Bodhgaya.

I am not sure if I will be able to do this well next year since I don’t give exams well under pressure. But this year I got these results with 0 prep so I’m confused.

Got your profile. Regarding the pressure part, that comes when you're putting effort. Don't want to sound philosophical, but pressure is real, you get better dealing with it. With the cat part, maybe this time if you prep more, you can get a better score. You have a good working job atm, imo going for another attempt makes sense. Take your decision after you weigh all the factors, even some that you might not choose to share publicly.

No.

MTech / MBA should always be done from tier 1 colleges.

Go for top tier IIM's (A/B/C/L/K) or FMS Delhi or XLRI. Don't go for baby IIM's, Even baby IIM's gets good ctc's but not guaranteed.

short answer: No long answer: It depends on how confidence you are in terms of converting a tier1 Bschool next year because you know it yourself that it’ll all be worth it in long run

Where do my chances stand

Thinking of giving CAT 2024, GEM, 10/9/8, workex will be 12 months, from what IIM's can I expect call from if I score 99+, or what percentile do I have to score to get a call from BLACKI ?

There is opportunity cost and I will have to take a loan of 35 Lakhs. I am co...
