Indigo has become pathetic!
Such a shame. Almost all the Indigo flights I have taken in last couple of months have been late. New benchmark of Indigo standard time now 🤮
I used to love Indigo. It's the fastest no-BS airline that can get you from point A to point B. They fly more cities than any other airline in India
But man! Over time the service has really gotten worse
Water If you ask for water, they'll hand you half a cup of the smallest cup of water I've ever seen. Somehow you muster the social energy to ask again, more water but it'll hardly quench any thirst
The Blue Bus OMG the bus they load you into before boarding the plane. They stuff people worse than a BEST bus in Mumbai. On a recent flight the ground staff was trying to shove as many people into one bus as was possible
Food The catering seems to be from Oberoi services. The food used to be actually good once upon a time. But gosh the sandwiches now taste worse. They don’t meet the standards for a regular road side thela-stall anymore
On-Timeliness Once known for being on time. Indigo flights are very often delayed now. Way more than Air India
Crowd Don't know why. Maybe because they're now the cheapest carrier in India. The crowd can sometimes be downright rude, weird and inconsiderate of other passengers.
Airport Terminals The Mumbai T1, Delhi T1/T2 have really deteriorated over time. Which makes the Indigo experience even worse
I could go on saying. But I don't want to be a bland critic
This is straight from the heart for an airline that I've travelled 100+ times in the last 10 years.
They need to improve
They still have the best connectivity. People end up using Indigo with or without intent.
I would agree with that. They're the best at what they're best at
See guys u need on time flying on time reaching to another destination so then u have to consider and accept some of the services provided by them. One thing I want to add is they need to go to their earlier air fairs i.e 2,200 rs/person as soon as possible to get the crowd turned over to them to improve other services.
Unfortunately true but this is what happens when there are no or very few options.
True, in fact I was wondering if an FDI like policy makes sense in the airlines industry for foreign airlines to operate on domestic routes in India as that could make things competitive for the incumbent players. Thoughts anyone?
I hope other players like AirIndia and Akasa picks up
Trust me bro, others are even worse..I took flight from spicejet with family and had horrendous experience. The person weighing my luggage intentionally overcharged us and when we said we would complain to airport authorities, said he would not allow us to fly and not share the boarding pass. He said, it's well within his authority to write that you guys have some contagious disease and hence, u r being denied the flight.
Imagine having guts to openly threaten customers that too with false allegations.
I had my wife, 2 year old daughter and senior citizen parents with me. Seriously, these airlines are taking us for a ride and think, they can do anything with customers
This is outrageous. Did you raise it with customer care or DGCA?
Complaint online to DGCA as well as airline company with evidence of proof that he did and with his pics, videos, name and designation also with place and airport name with the entire team including pilot and air crews also let them know what public power is bro.
This is because indigo was profitable once, but now because of ongoing war and increase in price of jet fuel, indigo has suffered major losses. They can't increase the ticket price, so they are resorting to cost cutting measures like this.
Airlines IMO are supposed to do one job and that's to carry people from one place to another without any safety incident and without delays.
The on time performance has deteriorated the most for Indigo in the last couple of years and hence people are losing their minds. The remaining teething issues were and will always be there and most people don't find given it's a no frill carrier.
This is actually a pretty good perspecitve too. On this I give Indigo a 10/10
But should they become an Air Asia? Not necessarily.. Southwest in the US was what Indigo was modelled behind. Southwest never stooped this low
Hehe. Yes, just traveled with them yesterday yet again and saw all these points. Let me tell you another dirty trick they use to stop passengers from drinking free water: cabin crew is directed to prepare for land way before the aircraft even even starts the descent. The cabin crew thus actually vanishes and reluctantly comes back on a call for water. Btw, I've never relied upon their food unless I'm flying home from another city. Always carry my home made breakfast when originating from my home town. Another shit they are notorious for is their ground staff at Indore airport, the most idle lot in the entire universe, will always do a check in luggage scan way before you even proceed to check-in counter. And they will ALWAYS have you open your bag for stupid reasons only to find nothing was wrong with the bags and delay you.
Coincidence? I flew yesterday and wanted to go on a rant on Indigo flights. The AC was horrible in flight. The guy next to me was using chewing tobacco incessantly, no one seemed to be bothered. I saw the water cup size and did not ask for it. A short 30 min flight was delayed by an hour. Lol they have definitely deteriorated.
My experience is similar. They are certainly enjoying the current monopoly they have on the air travel. I don't know why, but over the period of time they have started to undermine customer service which was one of the best earlier. They have to improve.
That blue bus is such a overlooked pointer
They shove in the bus, and make people wait inside closed bus.
Once it was 20-30min and felt I could have suffocated
Bro why do you want to eat sanwiches on a flight? I mean there are subway outlets as well on terminals get one and be happy and carry a water bottle they wont stop you if you did and for crowd none of us can do anything about it
Such a shame. Almost all the Indigo flights I have taken in last couple of months have been late. New benchmark of Indigo standard time now 🤮
Tier 1 (Should Book These): Vistara (for comfort, feels, food) Indigo (for being cost effective, on time, no frills)
Tier 2 (Doable): Air India (some planes are good now, but still inconsistent) Spicejet (if you are...
Swap Spice Jet and Air India Express
Completely incorrect analysis imo. My tiers: 1. Vistara 2. Air India 3. Air Asia 4. Indigo 5. Akasa 6. ...
indigo and on time together in a single sentence 😂 tell us what you’re smoking OP
Very stupid decision Vistara is actually a great brand Why would you erase all the good that has been associated wi...
How to kill a great Airline!!
I don’t fly enough for this news to affect me. 😂
