Reality check on Devin.

  • Devin uses GPT-4, which can get expensive very quickly. Yes, it can get even more expensive than a human

  • Most interview questions aren't hard to solve; even ChatGPT solves it

  • Implementing and solving tasks with your own shell/browser, etc, is much simpler than navigating a complex code base and making changes

Devin will NOT be replacing any software engineer in the near term.
