Rumors from the grapevine - Byjus has laid off a lot of people in the tech team. A person i know who works there mentioned 7 out of 10 people in his team were laid off.

This is true for all big companies just an endless stream of managers and no one to actually do the work.
Most of SDE1 and SDE2 are laid off , only managers are left to do the layoffs

As for the numbers in Engineering, approx 30% of the Engineering team was laid off in October and now roughly 15% today. The percentage is much higher in non core products. Don't let them fool you with only 5% layoffs news.
