Unless you love poverty porn, you didnt miss anything. except for few areas, most older part of city is nothing more than dilapidated slum. Slum so worse that Columbia-that we see in movies, will look like developed European city.

Wtf! Kolkata has a special place in my heart and trams are iconic to Kolkata Over the years they did reduce the frequencies and distances trams covered, but the people never let trams out of commission at all due to it's history and uniqueness to Kolkata. I can't believe it's discontinued

Same. It has nostalgic memories stuck with so many of us.
But good that they discontinued it - no maintenance, lost charm, and an increase in traffic. And above all, West Bengal is being governed by that lady, what good can we expect. 🤷
