This shit would be illegal in Europe or other developed countries. That manager and company would get a legal kick in their nuts so hard. In Indian it'll take 10 or 20 years for any resolution even if they manage to file a case.

It's illegal even in India

I don't get why people put up with this shit. If my manager does this to me, I would just call the police, press or even try to make it viral via social media. And I won't touch the keyboard again until the manager is dealt with. Maybe I lose my job, but fuck this shit... No body does this kind of BS to me and escapes unscathed.

Come to Hitachi Vantara. Similar sized org, Gr8 culture, good pay, similar or better work.
Forget locking, not even raising voices, we bring in more people if required.
Someone rightly said - ur client experience cannot be greater than ur employee experience.

I feel these guys are of "fattu mindset", they should have done something at that time in real world instead of posting online. as an anecdote my dad works in textile industry, there was incident at some factory due to maintenance issues some machine were down and production halted when everything was fixed the labourers were ordered to operate at unusually higher rpms (this has physical hardship/later complications) they labourers grouped up and beat the shit out of their supervisor without being fearful of being fired or whatever, keep in mind lower income people don't have as much savings as someone working a technical role.

This kind of unethical work culture is mostly prevalent in service based companies. It’s very hard for employees to change projects and the HR and managers work together. There might be chances where upon complaints, there might be false allegations put against the employees. Some of them might fear of not being able to get another job quickly after complaint.
Some of them might have loans. Some of them might have got accustomed to it and reluctant for change. Those who get over it are people who generally change the jobs, upskill themselves or go for higher studies.

Have seen first hand that a lot of people are reluctant to change and stay at the same Organization like these for decades.

Take pics and videos and also have a call recording with manager about door locking, then attach all of them and send to HR and CEO, if not responded send to police and social media..

Coding Ninja locks out employees in office

Just read this news on the times that CN apparently locked the doors of the office , preventing employees t from leaving without manger’s permission. It’s disheartening to see the junior employees being exploited to such an extent. I don...
