I am a UI developer having 4.5 years of experience. I got below mail from Infosys mentioned like Lateral Recruitment . Can anyone help me to understand what is Lateral Recruitment and any advantages or disadvantages.

Not sure whether this test is related to the profile which i had given interview

Infosys Delay in lateral joining

Hi I have 3.2 YOE and I have been joining Infosys in oct month but I got an email from the team that it has been delayed. Is anyone facing the delay in lateral joining. It’s happened to me three times this month.
