Layoff at MPL?

My friend was supposed to join MPL but his offer got rescinded. I also heard they’ll start laying off soon. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Because I was planning on taking a role there as soon as my friend joined in.

Heard they have awesome work life balance + free food + frequent parties etc etc.
