Leaving during probation

If the set expectations of the role aren’t being respected after joining the startup, is it acceptable to leave it while still in probation. What’s the consequences on reputation considering startup community is small and the word can spread and also on the referrer.

If the answer is leave, you might as well leave now.

Leave gracefully, explain why you are leaving and ensure an effective well documented handover (if any).
