Looking for suggestions..a wandering soul currently doing pre-sales consulting

I have 2.5 years of work experience in SAP ABAP support. Thinking it was not pulling out my full potential, I thought of doing an MBA in a reputed national institute (still confused why I did that lol), but anyway, and now I'm a pre-sales consultant in a midsized company based out of Chennai with a not so big salary compared to my peers. Had a chat with one of the managers who I work along with, and he just casually asked that you never seem to have a plan and catch what's coming your way.. even though I kind of know that.. but...a small lingering doubt still pertains that am I doing the right thing...and whats the future scope in this? I am also equipping myself with knowledge on cloud and AI by taking courses in the mean time.. idk if this site is the best place to ask this question...but can anyone give some suggestions on how can take it forward? And I do have this desire to work in a reputed company.. and if you have read till this, thank you for your time as well.. if possible, do give some tips and tricks.
