I donโt see anything wrong with this. Itโs clear that the agenda is not to give additional leave benefit, but to normalise women taking period leaves. At present, women usually use a different reason (headache/fever/backache etc) to apply for leave, while the actual reason is period pain/discomfort. Not every step is meant for a material benefit, you have to see the intangible value to the society.
Spoken like a techbro who hasn't interacted with a woman before.
You aren't guaranteed to fall sick for a week every month. Women are. Giving them extra leaves hurts no one.
It hurts the business. Get less pay and fall sick. If you are productive only 90% of the working day, get 90% salary. "Equality" comes with equal responsibility
What does this even mean? Are they increasing the number of sick leaves by including period leaves in it?
Everybody...... Take a moment and think if your kamwali baai /maid or cook takes three days leave and says she has period what would your response be..
Then answer.
You take your own leaves with this same framework in mind?
What framework are you talking about. It is a statement not a framework.. Some BCG Matrix level speech this..
If not leaves, then wfh should be made mandatory for all companies for women 5 days a month. Even leaves should be given atleast 5 extra in a year, for those bad days. What do you think?
Pls only women, no men ๐
Awkward question I know, but my recent monthly visitor made me realise - even after decades of having it I still haven't figured it out.
