Mid-career Question Mark

You were young talent and gave out sharp ideas. Slowly corporate got to you and laziness found it’s way. Knowledge is outdated and your skills restricted to current role. Market scares you but you don’t want to confine yourself to current job. Emi’s mounted up leaving you with only option to continue at current place and kickstart your passion and start your learning journey again. Intimidated by new tech and unsure of the direction you oscillate at same point for months together. This is a mid-career question mark. Role says senior, but senior in what? Reaching this inflection point?

This kind of scenario happens when someone has to work on the project which has less learning opportunities due to not enough challenges in ongoing project. He/she can learn the stuff by themselves but it won’t be as sufficient as learning on the actual projects.

Only way is to clear the interviews, get into good project and improve the knowledge or else stuck in the same company for years without proper growth.

Sometimes corporate jobs offer is to just doing certifications in terms of upskilling but that’s not enough as real experience on live project is required.
