Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with Google India and seek insights from those who might have gone through something similar.
It all started in March 2024, when a recruiter reached out to me for the Business System Analyst (BSA) role. The process was exciting but also long and challenging, with around six rounds of interviews spread over several months.
By October 2024, I received a call from the recruiter informing me that I had cleared all rounds and was selected for the role. However, here’s the twist:
The recruiter mentioned that while there were openings for the role when the process began in March, the situation has changed now, and there are currently no vacancies. She assured me that once a position opens up, they will reach out to me again for a team fit round and HR discussions regarding the offer.
Meanwhile, she took all my details, including my educational background and employment history, and asked me to wait. She also mentioned that the process of finding a vacancy could take anywhere from one month to a year.
This has left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I feel proud to have made it through such a rigorous process. On the other hand, I’m unsure whether they will actually get back to me or if this is just a polite way of putting the process on hold indefinitely.
My question to you all is:
Has anyone here experienced something similar with Google or any other company?
Do they eventually get back to candidates in situations like this, or should I consider this as a closed chapter and move on?
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice!
