Need advice for career in cloud engineering

I work as cloud support engineer

I am planning to make a switch to cloud engineering roles.

What should I definitely focus on as skillset to add in my resume to get shortlisted in good companies Do certifications matter? Should I learn Linux ? Any tips or advice are appreciated since am planning to move to pure cloud engineering roles. And what kind of companies hire for cloud engineer roles. Please please any tips are appreciated.
