We bought a new car while looking for old cars.
Old ones were coming with lots of issues already and it was not worth spending on an already used one. We booked a test drive for one of them, and it already broke in the middle of the road when the agent was bringing the car to us. That's when we realised that buying a new one is better. But I am talking about Bangalore, not sure how the roads are in Pune. Also depends on your financial status which one you can afford.

Depends on your financial status. But in general why spend much on new product when old one works perfectly ( if it is in good condition in your case).

Sometimes you get lucky. One of my friend got a 1 year used Swift for 5L, it was in the circle and people knew the owner. It was easier that way. Cars are liability, buying new is always more cost. Buy a Honda or Toyota, should last long with less maintenance.
