It's ok. Bangalore's first duty is for Karnataka. My take as a local is, this reservation should be limited to support staff at best. We should not do it for skilled labour. If I am hiring for my own project or company even I don't want any shyt type of reservation.

However game changes with support staff, we built Bangalore so that it helps us. Migrants can benefit as surplus of it we are happy. But, if our own people don't get jobs in city then what's the point. Everywhere I go in own city I need to speak Hindi. That's trash. I know Hindi really well. But kannada is home, and near my home I want things to be native. I don't mind living with others but only as long as I am living with my own people.

Anyway I don't think this govt has balls to do it. It's just an election gimmick. If done properly (restricting to support staff, things will turn out really well)

Interesting, I wasn’t aware in 21st century, there are people those who classify people as “mine/others” basis the language they speak 🤣

I see a valid reason for politicians to play such gimmick.

Besides, you guys were fine with women only hiring and reservations. If you were fine then you will be fine now☝🏿👈🏿☝🏿👈🏿😆

Kannada maganeys need to quickly either put an end to this divisive nonsense or face the city becoming a shell of itself quickly

With no water, worsening infra and now hostile (mostly yellow and red wearing goons) locals demanding we all learn a 4th language, I certainly hope larger companies and startups alike set up elsewhere. Then 100% local employment will become a reality. What an amazing win for the erstwhile great city :)

The moment "migrants" move out, the same people will start crying for them to return, because rent.

The more I interact with the average (even highly educated) kannadiga, the cognitive dissonance is so stark I’m completely lost for words. If your ‘culture’ is so fragile that only Bangalore having signage and kannada acceptance, can save your WHOLE culture (what about the rest of the state that none of us are touching?), then nobody can help you

Let me ask you one question if the above statement hurts you: in the event of a minor road scuffle, in 99% of the cases, kannada is used as a weapon to win the argument and even get violent. Why? Because it’s convenient and a way to show dominance

I hope everyone leaves over the next 10 years. Every flag will be red and yellow and everyone can talk to each other in the same language. Great progress gaizzzz

No wonder why, more and more companies are now favouring Hyderabad as their HQ. And with laws like these. I’ll not be surprised seeing Hyderabad giving a neck to neck competition to blr in a decade or so.

Is it true? Can you give a few examples for such companies?

Whatever happens this RE is doomed . No water, poor infra, hostile environment . These are recipe for disaster
