I think you have lost the bigger picture. When congress was in power, you had to pretty much stand in a queue to get a cylinder. These guys made it openly possible to get a cylinder.
You are given an opportunity here in India to study and earn. In return, its expected that you pay taxes. A lot of these taxes goes toward building infrastructure and social subsidy.
Here in Gurgaon, MCG charges 60rs for waste collection every month. Just 60Rs. A simple Swiggy order costs almost 4 times as much. Do you think 60rs by itself makes up the unit economics ?
I think it's kind of an elitist crybaby shit that you pay so much tax. For once we are actually seeing the results of taxes being paid. You are seeing a revamped railways ( not talking about Vande Bharat, but about other stuff as well, like capacity addition, timeliness, cleanliness, etc ), so much better roads. Power cuts though still an occasional part of life are getting lowered in rural areas.
I would rather see the result of my taxes in front of my eyes than in the hands of cronies banding together with an unfortunate acronym of "INDIA".
