Working in notice period
Can we deny working on new stuff in notice period and just focus on KTs ? Or are we bound to work on whatever is thrown at you while serving notice.
I am going to decline new work, what implications it can have?
Currently serving the dreaded “notice period” , Go ahead and ask me whatever pops to mind.
Do you have an offer letter from the new company? What's your YOE? Are you still interviewing with other companies?
How does it feel? What are you now doing that you weren’t doing before?
Well from the management side it’s like I’m raging war against them so they’re making life miserable but still I’ve overachieved my targets. They’ve tried changing the bad cop approach to a good cop approach to negotiate and try to retain me.
However I don’t feel like this is the right culture for me to sustain for a long time and grow with all the favouritism and racism so I am positive that I’ll be leaving.
What? I’m curious why they see it this way? What did you do?
How long is your notice period?
Is it gonna be regular day to day work or just knowledge transfer?
1 month. It’s going to day to day work. I’ve already trained my replacements and have done my share of knowledge transfer. I’m not at a very senior role that there’s a lot of non day to day work to do .
How's it going at upGrad? Did Arjun Mohan exit helped sales. I remember when he joined many people from sales had resigned. Also is revenue growing as forecasted?
Well I work for a different vertical at upGrad. A lot of people didn’t like his appointment / his ideology I guess so they resigned.
Even from my vertical a lot of them resigned due to our leadership as well. So leadership seems to be a problem.
Revenue is growing not at the expected rate but we’re guessing that’s cause of the slowdown in the EdTech sector as a whole.
How can I get the early release from my current employee my manager is not approving this and saying its not possible but my new company is ready to buy out please help me here how can I get the release early.

Hi Everyone,
Saying from personal experience, I have noticed that 10/10 times I am getting rejected if I say notice period to be 90 days during a Job Switch. All companies are looking for 30/60 days joiners. Even though they themselves ...
Just got a decent offer, considering a switch. Not sure how to approach manager (also co-founder) with this news.
Context:
I am currently serving my notice period (90 days). Had decided earlier to quit and then look for a role so that I can job hunt in relative peace without worrying about job performance (high impact and demanding role). Was interviewing wi...
