This is a massive learning for all stupid engineers out there.
Don't let dumb product folk present your work.
Don't let someone else and most definitely not the irrelevant product folk to be the main Point of contact for your business leads. You are the product there, you are responsible for what you build. Show up in front of business now and then, take responsibility for mistakes. Listen to their issues solve a few of them and tell that you will solve it. (I know if you let that take over there will be lot of noise, but you have got to strike a balance not run.)
Start learning crisp communication and stand your ground. Those who have nothing real in tech come up with way too many fantasy ideas and either are impractical or sugar coat things too much. You have got to stand your ground on the beliefs that you have because other non tech ones will not have the realistic view as you do and if you don't lead roadmaps out there, you are betraying your position.
