Thoughts on the Jar company?
Can somebody tell me about the culture, WLB and career growth in Jar company?
I am a fresher btw.
I recently interviewed at Jar, and the team passed the vibe check. The folks seemed smart, hard working and growth driven.
What are your opinions on the future prospects of the company, from what I have heard they are eye-ing for an IPO in the next 18-20 months and looking to get profitable by the end of this year. Any major tailwind in support or against them? Or any other opinion/experience with Jar would be appreciated.
Are you mad? Which team? They are nowhere close to IPO or profitability. Checked linkedin, nobody in their company stays for over 1 year and people have told me they had mental health issues while working. and founders give a rat’s ass after making money in secondary sale and just do linkedin and twitter bakchod. No goal for company. Just check glassdoor or even grapevine and you will see the feedback. All products except gold they have tried have failed and they are unable to raise now as well
I think they’re amazing & have cracked something others haven’t. So what’s the secret sauce - they would only know ;)
Profitability does not assure IPO. Company is not there yet.
Agreed, any other thoughts on the prospects of the company?
If they just do gold, they would probably never hit profitability. Since, they are playing on volume. What they do have a large user base. Slowly they are adding jewellery. Which closes the loop of saving on Jar (as in you save digital gold and buy using this saving). If they do well in the online jewellery market, they stand a chance because of significant margins.
Rest survival of team extends to building a company with a decent culture. The attrition rate is high and that makes it difficult to run such a company in long run.
If the leadership acknowledges its flaws and works on it, there is a good future ahead
Bhai kya fukk k vibe check Kiya 😂😂😂
Stay miles away from that place and you'll thank me

Hearing rumours that they are raising more money while the culture keeps detonating, many are fired and many have left with no product roadmap clarity
Hey folks, I just wanted to ask how is the Jar’s work Culture like. If any of you or your friends are working there could you please tell is it good to join there?
