Peanut Butter vs Peanut

I take 3-4 spoons of regular peanut butter( From RelianceFresh). My Gym is suggesting/selling Peanut with a higher Protein ratio.

So what if I eat 150-200g of peanuts daily instead of peanut butter?

I joined the gym one month ago and working to gain muscles.
I am already eating sprouts of Moong/Chana and Dry fruits daily.

Peanuts will contain a bit more fibre & i guess will be cheaper.

BTW, 200g of peanuts daily? Thats gonna add a crapload of fat & even if its healthy fat, it wont matter. Similarly, 3-4 spoons of butter is also too much.

1 tablespoon/day or a handful of peanuts/day is fine, enough for good fat sources

And you're eating ry fruits(im guessing cashew, raisin, dates etc) so even if you don't take peanuts that's fine. Its too much fat consumption

Eat more protein from different sources

Can you suggest some veg sources?

Paneer(has high fat also btw), chickpeas, beans, dal, soybeans

Veg folks may need whey protein so you can get plant based or normal(its milk anyways)

Calculate your maintenance calories from the internet. Then If you're on the skinnier/leaner side, eat more than that if you're on the heavier side, eat less calories. Can use healthifyme as a calorie counter & more.

Push yourself in the gym(dont think about heavy lifting) use good form, do a bit higher reps(12-15) each set

I'd say stick with peanut butter & use it on a morning shake(handful of oats, PB, 1 scoop whey, milk/water, any fruit based on preference)

You're a beginner so if you push just a bit & eat well, you'll gain good amount of muscle pretty quickly

Dont expect to have a ripped physique anytime soon, it'll take time

200g peanuts is an overkill. Eat fresh and healthy, avoid outside food (sorry to sound like an uncle, but there's no other way). Measure your intake, compensate for the deficit using whey protein. It depends on your weight, but approx 100g of protein is sufficient.

I don't know if 200g protein will help in building the body, but it will lead to constipation for sure😂
