Pune is better.

The climate in Pune is almost the same as Bengaluru, but Pune has friendlier neighbors and locals.

In Bengaluru, due to language extremism, many local goons are exploiting the situation, leading to a rapid increase in the crime rate. To cover this up, they are blaming outsiders for crimes actually committed by locals.

In one incident, a Spanish resident called the police after a thief broke into his house. However, the police insisted he speak in Kannada and now seemed more focused on covering up the situation than solving the crime.

So if a foreign national calls to any North Indian police department and speaks in English , all those policemen will easily understand, and or on toes to help them immediately. Right ?

If you a foreign national in need in north india and call 100 at least they won’t ask you to speak in hindi they will try to understand some what that what you are trying to convey

I guess most of the "Pune" responses are coming from Hindi speakers 😁

And yes, if you are an Hindi speaker Pune wins handsdown

Nothing like that, its a cosmopolitan and vibrant Maharashtrian culture which respects and embraces all languages and cultures

Jis desh ka naam h Hindustan hai, tum Hindi ko third party highlight kaise kar rahe ho? Talk to Siddaramaiah and then all this nonsense will end. Carve a separate State if you are illiterate about Hindi. And when economy crumbles due to corruption of state, then don't go running to other states.

life in city depends on how much money one has. Pune and BLR are equally shitty and equally good.

PUNE !!!

I think I can answer this question the best staying currently in pune and before that was in Bengaluru for 8 years. Also a north Indian

First things first I find both places better in terms of people especially since I come from Delhi some people can be very mean there.

Advantages of Bengaluru:

  1. Weather is better than pune it isn't the same. There are more cooler days than in pune.
  2. Startup culture is more rich and there are all sorts of activities for kids and adults much more than pune.
  3. Kids learn more languages this could be an advantage and a disadvantage
  4. Loads of spots to visit, hang out near Bengaluru
  5. Good schools but expensive as compared
  6. Better career prospects money wise much more than pune

Disadvantages

  1. Expensive as compared to pune
  2. Houses are crazy expensive
  3. Food groceries etc are more expensive
  4. Traffic is really bad can take 1hr to go 5kms I would rather walk. But again no city is walkable
I don't want to add anything on language I understand when people speak kannada and also know quite a few words helps to get around easily nothing wrong with that.

Pune

Advantages:

  1. Cheaper as compared to Bengaluru
  2. Marathi is kind of similar to hindi you can learn far easily
  3. Schools probably also cheaper
  4. Loads of treks around in the monsoons
  5. All types of people in pune locals families it crowd depends on the areas
  6. Societies available in it areas like hinjawadi with play activities for kids and play area

Disadvantages

  1. Switching jobs might be tough at higher salaries not as many startups etc google is there, Microsoft starting a facility but still not as many opportunities as Bengaluru
  2. Weather is hotter as compared to Bengaluru have experienced it first hand
  3. Did not find any big parks minus the treks etc

I feel Pune is too wide and many places are far away. For eg I stay in hinjawadi central pune is shit far I cannot go and just visit friends

Also in Bengaluru I have stayed in shantinagar, jaya nagar, indiranagar ( try and stay in central Bengaluru expensive but great to be near cubbon park ) places like marathalli Whitefield Suck..
