I had no idea who he is until I saw your post. Having seen his LinkedIn post, I tend to agree with almost everything... (Except the post on trickle down economics)

They are not disconnected. They simply talk what people want to hear. When you are a public figure, you everyday life is acting. Anything they say is fake. They do it because that's the role they are expected to . That's the role that's brings them money.
I know a few top leaders who say things differently in public space and completely opposite in private.
