Confused about taking a job offer in Mumbai, currently being offered 14lakhs fixed + 2 variable + some deals bonus. Currently being offered 12.8 lakhs fixed in Bangalore. They are also not offering any relocation bonus. Financially it doesn't really make much sense, but I am thinking if it will offer me better opportunities in future. I am not from a Tier A college. I have received the offer after 3 months of active job search.
If money is not your priority, then ONLY switch to Mumbai. Its financially draining. Everything from food to stay is expensive. Rent will be 2x to 3x than Bangalore. Only thing cheaper is public transport. But you will end up winning a medal in olympics, if you embrace it.
Don't know your native place, but culturally, Mumbai is much more open and vibrant than other cities.
In a nutshell, make a wise choice.
