I received an offer from a top-tier company similar to FAANG and accepted it. However, the working hours there are quite demanding, requiring a minimum of 10 hours per day. At my previous job, I had excellent work-life balance, with work hours aligned with Japan's schedule, allowing me to finish by 3 PM. Now, I'm working in US hours, which is encroaching on my personal time and impacting my mental well-being. Should I reconsider returning to my previous employer? Money isn't a significant factor (I received a 100% salary increase). The atmosphere at my former job was also much more relaxed.
If I’d had been in your position, I would have stayed in the new company for at least a year, considering 100% hike. But if you are having serious health/sleep issues then only you can think of going back.
