Retirement Fund Investment Suggestions

Folks, where can I invest the retirement fund of my parents? Please suggest MFs, stocks and other investment options wherein I can do lumpsum investment of the capital.

In case you have suggestions to make diversified investments, please also suggest percentage or ratio for the amount to be invested with options. Also need suggestions on emergency balance or other fixed investments with minimal/zero risk which can be opted.

For the sake of calculations, you can assume this amount to be 10L INR.
