How does companies like Grapevine/Blind/Hood make money?
How big is the market for these type of companies?? 🤔
All three are very different if you ask me. Revenue generation opportunities could be different and innovative for each.
In my opinion, Grapevine and Blind are way more monetizable than something like Hood, even if functionality appears to be the same.
The reason is the Quality of Audience. Numbers matter but Quality is supreme.
I think it’s all about the data. Grapevine has information about
Candidates. All the information, like YOE, salary, role, skillsets etc etc. They can use this info to parse meaningful information and sell it to headhunters/HRs for a premium. Although, I’m not sure how many people actually put true information about their role, salary etc. This is just a school of thought.
They have information about company culture, perks, etc etc. This information can again, be parsed and meaningful info can be extracted out of it which can be sold to candidates for a premium.
All this is just a hypothesis, from my understanding of how all such businesses work.
What is Grapevine's monetizing route? So far, I didn't see any buy button in Grapevine. Would they be going the ad route or Blind route?
Seems like they are currently focused on acquisition and will slowly charge people to keep their id...
