Does anyone know about how Comcast as a company is? Would love to know about the work culture as an outsider.

On-calls are part of any product company. It's upto the team (& management) how they manage it.
I have been part of 24/7 on-call with constant monitoring needed for a week and rotating every 5 weeks. Also been part of team where on-call week is for leisure as you rarely get issue and also it is going to be just 12/7 and only during day time.
In general Comcast work culture is good, pay is between service and product companies scale. So trade off.
