Last month I got SBI SimplySave RuPay credit card primarily for UPI. It took 5-6 days after delivery+activation before apps like PayTM started recognising it as a valid mode for UPI. . Works for all merchant payments only, not for personal UPI ID payments like cab driver (mostly works for retail payments, rarely for online cart checkout payments). And no you can't pay another credit card bill by using this card through UPI. . Plus there appears to be very strict limits on no of daily txns. On a couple of occasions it started blocking me for the day after having made 4-5 payments (even though total amount for the day was helper 2k) . Reward points are peanuts, i think half or quarter of what you get on conventional CCs. . But overall I'd definitely recommend getting it assuming you're a responsible spender. Major upside is that it will clean up the clutter from from S/B account statement by moving all penny txns to CC statement. And then it's a CC end of the day, do some reward points and builds up your Credit Score overtime if you keep making timely settlements.

Ok just realised that there's in fact a 2k daily limit (and likely no limit on no of txns). On SBI Card website I find no option to configure this (my single txns + daily limits on the card are set to much higher amount)

Are you able to make payments using this card to small vendors like auto/cab drivers, local kirana/vegetable vendors? I read somewhere that the merchant needs to have around 50,000 INR worth of transaction per month on UPI to be eligible to accept payments from RuPay credit cards.

Just curious. Why do you want to use Rupay credit card? Is it just to earn rewards for offline payments?

No but to make all transactions through credit cards. When running low on cash, offline payments can be inconvenient. If you're earning rewards for these transactions, why not take advantage of them?
