Saw a lot of posts regarding salary in Software/Product. Would like to know how is the salary in hardware companies(freshers, mid and senior levels)

One of my friends is from circuits branch too. He said the avg salary of core companies are around 6-8 LPA, some 12. There are few exceptionally paying companies. Mostly semiconductors.
